Powell Place
Powell Place is a mixed use residential community in Pittsboro North Carolina. Powell Place is situated on a 148 acre site with a Village Center and a Town Park.
Powell Place is located parallel to Highway 64 in Northern Pittsboro, less than ten minutes from the city's center. The neighborhood is also roughly twenty minutes West from Jordan Lake, and twenty-five minutes South of downtown Chapel Hill. Powell Place is forty-five minutes from downtown Raleigh or Durham, along with being thirty minutes from downtown Apex.
Powell Place offers multiple living and architectural styles to suit different needs. There are attached, traditional-styled townhomes, but also detached homes that have a townhome-like look. There are craftsman-styled homes throughout the neighborhood as well, which feature two car garages and larger front porches than the townhomes. While the majority of the homes are two-stories, some also feature three-story lofts or attic spaces. Some townhomes may also feature a garage or parking area.
Mary Hayes Barber Holmes Park is a 10 acre neighborhood park, located in the Powell Place development. The main multi-use field is popular for soccer, lacrosse and unstructured play. The picnic shelters, grills, and the misting spray fountain see lots of use throughout the year. A rain garden, living-roof gazebo, and permeable paver parking demonstrate Pittsboro Parks’ commitment to environmental stewardship. The paved walking trail is about a third of a mile in length, and is a popular walking destination.
